McDonald's Pokémon promo returns after 10 years – now in our spotlight!

From August 9th to 11th, McDonald's Japan is making a splash: For the first time in a decade , exclusive Pokémon promo cards are available in Happy Meals! The highlight: Pikachu with brand-new artwork and the McDonald's logo. Additionally, there will be one of five other promos randomly selected:

• Sprigatitto

• Fuecoco

• Quaxly

• Ralts

• Riolu

All cards are from current series, but with the McDonald's stamp and the new Pikachu motif, they quickly become sought-after collector's items.

Pokémon toys are also part of the promotion again (from August 8th in Japan) – perfect for collectors and fans alike.

Fun fact: The last major international McDonald's promotion, "Dragon Discovery," ran in the US and other countries from late 2024 to early 2025. Who knows—maybe the Pikachu promo will soon make its way to us, too. Get your tickets now before they're sold out!
